Veterans Day Service Project, Sat Nov 11
Pack 550 scouts are invited to the Veterans Day Service at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue. We will join other packs and troops in placing flags on veterans' graves. The service begins at 10AM and the flag placing happens after the ceremony around 10:30. This is a wonderful opportunity for Scouts to serve the community in a meaningful and memorable way. Make sure Scouts wear their uniform while attending this event. Carpooling is highly recommended.
Woodland Park Zoo Overnight, Nov 17-18
The Zoo overnight is full -- if you need to change your RSVP please let Sarah know as soon as possible in case there are other families able to go. Questions: firstname.lastname@example.org

October was a very busy month for Pack 550!
Thanks to all who raced boats at the October pack meeting. For those who walked across the street to City Hall for the Walk to School proclamation you can see a video of the Council meeting here http://kirkland.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=43&clip_id=3656 - fast forward to 1:18 and you'll see the scouts entering the room for the proclamation.
Thanks to the 15 scouts and their families who attended the squash harvest at Food Bank Farm on October 7. Our scouts helped harvest over 24,000 pounds of squash for Food Lifeline.
22 brave scouts, siblings and parents braved cloudy skies, wind and some drizzle to climb the High Trek ropes course on October 20.
And last but not least 26 scouts plus siblings and parents spent a beautiful Saturday at Camp Edward for Cub Day on October 28.
Don't forget to check the calendar in ScoutBook or on our website.
