Pack 550 made the front page of Kirkland Reporter! We had a great turn out for the MLK Day of Service project where we pulled blackberry plants and covered the areas in mulch. See if you can find Den Leader Chad M. and his son Will M! Thank you to everyone who attended and a special thanks to Belinda B. for organizing this great event! https://www.kirklandreporter.com/life/diggin-service-day-in-kirkland/
Twilight Summer Camp 2020 – Monday July 13- Thursday July 16, roughly from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The sign up is coming on April 15th! Additionally, they will do outdoor cooking, crafts, obstacle courses and more. Your kids will be busy from the moment they arrive! It is open to all incoming first graders through 5th graders (both girl and boy pack members may participate). The cost is $100. This camp requires that each family send an adult to help volunteer for two of the four days. It is a great experience for the adults too! Sign up will begin on April 15th. Please email Margo if you are thinking of sending your Scout.
Resident Summer Camp - Sign-ups are now open![/b] Dates: July 30th to August 2nd. Location: Camp Edwards in the foothills of Monroe and approximately one hour from Kirkland. Sign up on the website below for this camp and then email Mark R. to let him know you are signed up and attending. The cost is $284 per Scout, $185 per adult.
This is a fun 4-day experience for Cub Scouts along with their parents. While immersed in adventures of the wild, Cubs take part in activities such as archery, BB guns, nature hikes, crafts, swimming, and boating. Webelos can earn activity pins, and Wolf and Bear Cubs can also complete advancement requirements. Tigers are also welcome! This camp is for both boys and girls who are members of Cub Scouts. Kids must be members to attend. The camp features include a beautifully renovated dining hall, waterfront, BB gun and archery ranges, play fields, nature trails and a fantastic craft lodge. Campsites have two-person canvas tents (during the summer) and cabins with bunks. Showers and restroom facilities are centrally located. Depending on our group size, some Cubs and their parent(s) will want to bring a tent. We will eat our meals in the dining hall, and enjoy s’mores and other fun snacks together at our group site. Everyone loves the Chief Joe Race and on the last day, and the Polar Bear Swim. Your kids will leave singing goofy, fun camp songs that will go on all summer! This is a camp, that can’t be missed! One of the sessions is already full so register soon to ensure a spot for you and your Cub!
